Partick Thistle Deadly Doolan

-

The wait for a Thistle victory at Fir Park goes on for another season. Some of our fans weren’t even born the last time we beat Motherwell away from home and Saturday’s draw means we haven’t won there since 1996.

Nevertheless it was a good point and another reminder of the value of Kris Doolan. He had a tough time against the Motherwell defence but when his only chance came along, he buried a header past the keeper. With Conor Sammon missing due to a family bereavement, Kris took his opportunity to remind the manager of his worth. Thistle now face a double header against their Glasgow rivals. A midweek game against Rangers in the league followed by a cup game at Celtic Park. Two wins would suffice.
