TAX1 numberplate goes up for sale

One of the UK’S “rarest and most sought after” number plates is to be sold at auction.

The DVLA plate TAX1 has been in private ownership for over 40 years but now expects to reach up to £100,000 when it goes on sale on 22 February.

Auctioneer Jonathan Hum bert said he anticipates national interest when the number plate goes under the hammer in Northamptonshire.
