Dundee United Show faith in youth

With our game on Saturday falling foul of the elements, it does give rise to the thought that no matter when you have a winter break you are never going to avoid the vagaries of the Scottish weather.

Given the injury list and the run of form we’re on I only hope the enforced break gave the manager time to work on his team and tactics. I’ve been underwhelmed by the January signings which coupled with some puzzling team selections has seen us drop right off the pace. I’d like the manager to start with Cammy Ballantyne at right-back and show some faith in the younger squad members. The old adage “if you’re good enough, you’re old enough” needs to be applied to the ever dwindling academy talent.
