Findings on death in custody handed to Crown
A police watchdog’s findings on the case of a man who died in police custody have been submitted to the Crown Office.
The Police Investigations and Review Commissioner looked into prior contact between the man and officers involved in an incident on Glasgow’s West Nile Street on 13 April last year.
It examined what happened before the man inflicted serious injuries on himself. Captor Pava an incapacitant spray - was then used by police and the man was detained, but later died in hospital.
Pirc said a report had been submitted.
