ELISE CHRISTIE The Team GB poster girl from Livingston is set to compete in three shorttrack speedskati­ng events. She has gone from strength to strength since her heartbreak­ing outing at the Sochi Olympics, breaking the 500m world record in 2016, and is a strong medal hope. She goes in the 500m (10 February, 10am), 1000m (22 February, 10am) and 1500m (17 February, 10am). KATHRYN THOMSON Christie is joined in the speedskati­ng events by Kilmarnock-born Thomson, right, The 22 year-old will go up against her compatriot in the 500m, 1000m and 1500m. WOMEN’S CURLING TEAM The side consists solely of Scots and they will be looking to repeat or improve on their bronze medal from Sochi. Perth-born skip Eve Muirhead is joined by Anna Sloan, Vicki Adams, Lauren Gray and Kelly Schaefer. Their first round-robin game is on 14 February at 5:05am with the second at 00:05am on 15 February and a further six games in the next six days. The gold medal match is on 25 February at 00:05am. MEN’S CURLING TEAM Having won silver at Sochi, they will be looking to go one better. Perthshire skip Kyle Smith is joined by his brother Cammy, as well as Kyle Waddell and Thomas and Glen Muirhead, brothers of women’s skip Eve. They get under way against Switzerlan­d on 14 February 14 at 00:05am, then face Canada at 11:05am. Six more round-robin matches follow with the aim being the gold medal match on 24 February at 6:35am. CHARLIE GUEST Since breaking four vertebrae in a near career-ending crash in 2014, 24-year-old slalom skier Guest has consistent­ly improved her performanc­es, culminatin­g in qualificat­ion for Pyeongchan­g. The Perth skier’s event is on 14 February at 1:15am. ALEX TILLEY, Born in Sheffield, skier Tilley now calls Torphins in Royal Deeside her home. She is in the same slalom event as Guest and also the giant slalom on 12 February at 1:15am. CALLUM SMITH Inverurie cross-country skier Smith made his Olympic debut in Sochi, finishing 62nd in the 30km skiathlon and 67th in the 15km classical. He’s aiming for top-30 finishes in both this time. The skiathlon is on 11 February at 6:15am. ANDREW YOUNG Another Nordic skier, Young is from Huntly and will be competing in the sprint classic, qualificat­ion for which is on 13 February at 9:05am. MURRAY BUCHAN Freestyle skier Buchan first took to the dry slope at Hillend near Edinburgh aged seven, and competes in the halfpipe in Pyeongchan­g. Qualificat­ion is on 20 February at 4am.
