Scot admits Tube murder attempt

A 29-year-old Edinburgh man has admitted attempting to murder a commuter by pushing him into the path of a London Tube train.

Alain Lesjongard was seriously injured when the westbound District Line train ran over him at Bayswater Station on 2 November last year.

Alan Alencar, of Northcote Street, Edinburgh, shoved him with both hands as the Tube pulled in. Mr Lesjongard fell between the tracks and curled up, allowing the train to pass over him. Alencar will be sentenced on 9 March.
