Search under way for missing mountaineers
Searches were yesterday underway to find two missing hillwalkers in the Highlands.
Brothers Alan Gibson, 56, and Neil Gibson, 63, set off on a walk at about 7:45am in Strathcarron, Wester Ross, on Thursday.
They failed to return that night and were reported missing.
It is understood the pair, who have a black Pointer dog called Archie with them, were planning to walk in the Achnashellach area.
Land and air searches are being carried out by the Torridon, Kintail and RAF Mountain Rescue Teams, search and rescue dogs, and Stornoway Coastguard helicopter. It is unknown what each walker was wear- ing when they set off. Officers at Police Scotland have asked that anyone who saw the men call in with information quoting reference 4089 of 8 February.
