Gin & Bare It

The Union Gallery in Edinburgh opens the new season with Gin and Bare It, a show of figurative art. It includes work by Joyce Gunn Cairns, Alan Mcgowan, Angela Reilly, Trevor Jones, Violetta Pallak and sculpture by Italian artist Sebastiano Cantarella. Figure painting is unfashionable and some of it may be a bit raw but it is good to see it’s still being taken seriously. The Union Gallery, Edinburgh, until 3 March, 0131-225 8779
