Business and energy hub plan moves forward
Plans for a major commercial and cultural development in Kilmarnock have taken a step forward after finalised proposals were submitted for the project’s first phase.
The Halo Kilmarnock development will see the former Johnnie Walker bottling plant transformed into an enterprise and innovation hub for business start-ups, a renewable energy centre, commercial space and leisure units.
Hundreds of homes will also be built if the project is approved.
Construction is expected to be complete by autumn 2019.
