Gormley question

I just heard [former justice secretary] Kenny Macaskill tell Gordon Brewer on Sunday Politics Scotland that complaints against former Chief Constable Phil Gormley may not have met the “threshold” to be used against him and then he said Mr Gormley’s “style” was the problem.

One obvious conclusion is that Mr Gormley was hounded out of his job. He should be asked before a Holyrood committee and given an opportunity to put his side of the story. ALLAN SUTHERLAND Willow Row, Stonehaven
