West Lothian mall scales new heights with Hiride

0 The £1 million addition to the popular shopping centre is also set to create about 30 jobs Bosses at The Centre shopping complex in Livingston have unveiled plans to add an aerial adventure course positioned directly above shoppers as well as a climbing and free-falling activity, writes Scott Reid.

The Hiride course will be suspended from the roof, spanning 100 metres and begin with a 15-metre zipline followed by a series of “illuminate­d fun, challengin­g and changeable obstacles”, including a rolling log and a swinging bridge.

The £1 million addition to the centre is likely to create 30 jobs.

The adventure activities, created by Aerial Adventures, which will operate the site, will also include a large soft play area across three levels for children up to 12 years of age, with a separate area for babies and toddlers.

Patrick Robbertze, director at The Centre, said: “We want to give our shoppers the best possible day out with something new and innovative in 2018.”
