Festival of light sparks jump in visitor figures
Organisers of the Spectra festival in Aberdeen are celebrating a surge in visitor figures.
The award-winning festival drew over 91,000 visits to more than 30 installations across three sites in the city, topping the 65,000 visits to the 2017 festival.
Union Terrace Garden, Marischal College and St Nicholas Kirk were transformed by leading Scottish and international artists for the event. This year also saw the return of arts space The Anatomy Rooms behind Marischal College, which hosted Felix’s Machines with Compositional Automata.
