Cash injection: Medical device specialist secures £33m funding boost
The Japanese owner of a medical device company based in Renfrewshire has unveiled investment of £33 million in the Scottish subsidiary. The funding from Terumo Corporation will enable Vascutek to expand its headquarters and manufacturing facility in Inchinnan, where it has about 800 staff, with site development to complete in 2021. Paul Holbrook, president and chief executive of Vascutek, said: “This is an extremely exciting time for the company as we look to secure further growth in the surgical grafts market.”
