Property firm LCP appoints asset manager for Scottish unit

Property investment company LCP has appointed an asset manager for its office in Scotland, it was announced yesterday.

Dermit Smith, who has more than 30 years’ experience as a chartered surveyor, joins the company’s first dedicated office in Glasgow from Shaw Smith Property, a niche business that provided investment advice to clients, which Smith establishe­d in 2012.

Smith, who is a fellow of the Royal Institutio­n of Chartered Surveyors and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrator­s, has also worked as director at Cogent Property Solutions.

LCP is one of the UK’S largest private owners of retail, industrial and office property. It launched its Scotland office in Glasgow last spring.

Sites within the Scottish portfolio include Knightwood and Govan Cross shopping centres in Glasgow and Airdrie Retail Park.
