Brechin City Local interest

-

With Brechin City having a free weekend after being put out of the Scottish Cup by holders Celtic, it was that time to choose a game again. A trip to Links Park to see League 2 table toppers Montrose at home to Stenhousemuir. Having watched Brechin struggle against Stenny from time to time, it was going to be no easy match for the Gable Endies. With both teams having decent shots blocked, it was the Endies who triumphed after a goal from former Brechin midfielder Jamie Redman. Montrose are now six points clear with two games in hand over second-placed Peterhead and it’s certainly going to be an exciting run in. After many years in the basement league, it would be great to see some success return to Links Park.
