Inverness Caley Thistle Cup interest wanes

-

The TCS has been a football-free zone for over two weeks. Next up is Crusaders at home in the Irn Bru Cup semi-final on Sunday. When the draw was made at the end of last year there was a fair bit of excitement at drawing a club from outwith Scotland, although many would have preferred an away tie. However, the anticipation has waned to almost zero given how long it took to announce the date of the tie and then the odd kick-off time of 5.15pm on a Sunday. This led the club to write to Ian Blair at the SPFL. Nothing has changed, however, and weather permitting the game will go ahead, live on BBC Alba. It will be interesting to see how we fare against Irish opposition but how many fans from either team will be there to watch remains to be seen.
