Cream of the crop: Guitar owned by Eric Clapton set to go under the hammer

Auctioneer Luke Hobbs shows off a guitar owned by rock legend Eric Clapton which is expected to fetch up to £10,000 at auction later this month. The guitar, a 1978 Guild D55NT natural-wood acoustic, features a cigarette burn on the headstock and was owned by the former Cream and Yardbirds front man between 1978 and 1999. The piece being put under the hammer by a private collector and is set to be auctioned at Gardiner Houlgate auctions in Corsham, Wiltshire, next month.
