Ayr coach Forrester to quit

-

Ayr head coach Calum Forrester is to step down at the end of the season.

The man who led Ayr to the BT Premiership title last year has been involved with the club for a decade, having first appeared as a player for them through the draft while a Glasgow Warriors pro in 2008. The then back-row forward went on to captain the side to several trophies and took over as head coach four years ago.

Forrester, who won Scottish Rugby’s club coach of the year award last season, said: “I have been involved with the club for ten years now and have loved it all. This group has achieved a lot and I think the time is right to step down and let a new face take over.”
