Baxter Dury
Baxter Dury, laidback, charismatic offspring of the late great Ian Dury, takes his time between albums but it’s always worth the wait. His latest, Prince of Tears, is another pithy gem, blending pop, funk, lounge and a touch of psychedelia, all wrapped around the sort of witty vignettes which mark him out as his father’s son in a most relaxed and charming way. Enjoy the pleasure of his performing company – it really is like spending time with an entertaining pal. Stereo, Glasgow, 20 February, 0141-222 2254
