Collected Shadows: The Archive of Modern Conflict

A rare chance to look inside this diverse and intriguing collection of photographs, which contains 8 million images from all over the world. Started 25 years ago as a collection of vernacular images of the First and Second World Wars, it now encompasses photographs from the 1850s to the present day, and takes in portraits, aerial photography, press photos and film stills.
