The first season of this Scandistyle London-set drama from Hans Rosenfeldt (The Bridge), was a combination of bonkers and brilliant as Anna Friel rejoined the Met after her philandering husband walked out and solved a complex murder case despite suffering from dissociative fugue, which resulted in occasional blackouts during which she had no recollection of what she might have done. Season two begins with the discovery of a body, inside a wall, of schoolboy Leo Priestley, who was abducted a few years beforehand. Once again the case takes a personal turn when Marcella discovers that Leo was a friend of her son, Edward.
Returning cast members include Nicholas Pinnock as ex Jason, Jamie Bamber as newly promoted DCI Tim Williamson and Jack Doolan as DC Mark Travis. Nigel Planer and Keith Allen turn up as possible suspects playing former famous musician Reg and his manager Alan.
