Man dies after being found on shop roof

A 55-year-old man has died on the roof of a shop in Aberdeenshire.

An air ambulance was among emergency services sent to the scene at a furniture and homewares store on Turriff’s Main Street.

Police Scotland said the man died at Celebrations of Turriff soon after emergency services were alerted about 2:45pm on Sunday.

The death was ruled as non-suspicious.

Officers said the incident was being treated as a medical matter. No explanation has been given for the man being on the roof.
