Cartoon capers: Illustrations by creator of children’s books to go under the hammer

Sydney Drew from Lyon & Turnbull auction house in Edinburgh took to the streets to promote its forthcoming sale of work by the English author and illustrator John Burningham. Some of his most famous books, including Avocado Baby, Borka, Cannonball Simp and Mr Gumpy’s Outing, as well as a number of posters he designed for London Transport, in the 1960s will be sold on 28 February.
