Imran Khan ties the knot for third time

Pakistan’s cricket legend turned politician Imran Khan, 66, has tied the knot for the third time, marrying a faith healer.

The nuptials ended rumours swirling for months about Mr Khan considering a third marriage, after having been divorced twice. Fawad Hussain, spokesman for Mr Khan’s Pakistan Taherik-e-insaf party, said the cricket star married divorcee Bushra Maneka.

Mr Khan’s party released photographs of him smiling, sitting with his new wife and her relatives.

He had previously married socialite Jemima Goldsmith and journalist Reham Khan. Ms Maneka comes from a deeply conservative and politically influential family from the eastern Punjab province.

Mr Khan acquired a reputation as a playboy during his cricket career.
