Campus cops to close pupil gap
Cash aimed at closing the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their most well-off classmates is being used to pay for campus police at schools in Glasgow.
The five officers now in place at schools in the south-west of the city are funded by the Scottish Government’s Pupil Equity Fund and Police Scotland.
They are based at Bellahouston Academy, St Paul’s High School, Rosshall Academy, Govan High and Hillpark Secondary.
The latest took up the position on 5 February.
