Norway is my way

I listened with mounting indignation to Scottish Tories Murdo Fraser and Struan Stevenson on Tuesday’s Radio Scotland phone-in, bleating that the SNP’S new tax regime will “deter investment, drive Scots south etc”, in other words make us less like England. Good grief, who wants to be like England?! Highest tuition fees in Europe, class obsessed, housing crisis, and leading us over the cliff-edge of Brexit. I want to be like Norway – pay higher taxes, have a much better, socially fairer, quality of life and,like Norwegians, an intense but justified pride in my country. With Scotland’s amazing resources, that is perfectly achievable.
