Miserable now

This country is getting more like a lunatic asylum every day. Let’s bring back ducking stools and burn offenders. A witch hunt? She left a note, for God’s sake. Whether right or wrong it does not merit arrest nor a law to justify it. She voiced an opinion. People gave their lives to enable her to do it.

Colin Green What this woman did was contemptible but I cannot see that anything is gained by arresting her.

Alasdair Gordon It’s about time members of the public who abuse emergency services are reprimanded. It’s not acceptable for me to come to your place of work and shout and scream at you. Likewise I should be free to carry out my duties without people doing the same to me.

Barrie Durcan Well deserved and I hope she has a suitable punishment as a result. She should remember that one day she may need the services of an ambulance. Maybe she would think differently then.

William Wright The stocks should be brought back into use for people this inconsiderate and mean.

Fred Stalbaum It is definitely a witch hunt when you read of other much worse incidents and serious assaults being carried out where nobody is arrested. A ticking off would have been sufficient.

Maureen Middlemiss First of all, nobody has any business even leaving a note like that on any emergency service vehicle. I bet she wouldn’t have been half as gobby if it was one of her family members they’d been taking care of! And secondly, abusing the emergency services when they’re just trying to do their jobs, saving lives, is reprehensible.

Becca Murdoch Ajust penalty would be 100 hours of unpaid labour in a hospital accident and emergency unit. They say respect is earned, well, as far as l’m concerned for all emergency workers – police, ambulance staff and fire service – it’s a given.
