St Johnstone Day for the underdog

-

So typically Saints. When least expected they produced a terrific performance and gained a point few expected. If they had nicked a goal nobody could have denied they deserved the win. The “one -for-all, all-for-one” performance was typical of many over the last few seasons.

The home support made their feelings clear at the final whistle – I only know because I heard it mentioned on the radio. The noise from the small group of Saints supporters around me at Celtic Park completely drowned any other sound in the stadium. It was another great day to be a Saints supporter. It was also a great day for those who love upsets – I let out a roar driving home when Rochdale scored in the last minute of added time to draw against Spurs.
