Motherwell Frustrating defeat

-

Motherwell became the latest to fall victim to resurgent Kilmarnock, and for the second time this season felt hard done by in losing to them.

Steve Clarke was gracious enough to say we were unlucky to lose and he had said the same when they beat us late last year. It is scant consolation with no points to show for our efforts.

We must now regroup for another trip to Dens Park on Saturday before hosting Aberdeen midweek and Hearts in the cup. Only Hearts, in the quarter-final, has any real significance. We will not be relegated and we will not qualify for Europe through the league. Another trip to Hampden would cap a very impressive season and we can only hope the TV broadcast does not dilute the crowd cheering us on.
