The “EU Single Market”, that’s the EU’S protectionist tariff barrier to trade with the rest of the world, that all of us have to pay for through higher world prices, right? Wouldn’t we be better off going for an open global market with no tariffs at all?

So Hot We are where we are. Up to our eyeballs in the brown stuff. Run aground by Tory and UKIP zealots, in the name of Anglo-british nationalism. And then to compound it, we have a divided and incompetent May government to really drive home the nail in our coffins.

Gavin This is all very true. I voted remain as Brexit can only be bad for business. We lost the vote though, so just have to get on with it. We must learn from the EU, though, and never make same mistakes as in letting fanatics talk us into leaving the UK, where Scottish companies sell 66% of the goods/services and where 530,000 Scots are employed. Watch the Scottish unemployment rate increase further once the Scottish Parliament’s tax increases begin to bite the working middle classes and local businesses. Somehow the SNP and Greens believe

Gordon Craig Get folk to pay lots of money When she was introduced to HM earlier she didn’t wear them, so I expect she did ask permission as maybe she has a medical reason. In any case, the nation’s foremost working great-grandmother doesn’t seem too bothered.
