Brewbroker aims to be beer industry’s Airbnb
A new online marketplace is hoping to follow in the footsteps of digital disruptors such as Airbnb and Uber and “revolutionise” the global brewing sector.
Brewbroker aims to bring everyone together who wants to brew beer, enabling them to trade directly with breweries and suppliers on a single platform.
After successfully raising £390,000 in seed investment via crowdfunding platform Crowdcube last year, the London-based start-up has signed up scores of industry suppliers across the UK and Europe, including Brewhouse & Kitchen and Kegstar, and more than 70 early adopters to bring the platform to market.
Co-founder Ben Morgansmith said: “Brewbroker is the Airbnb of the brewing industry.
“We could see that this online marketplace would be the ideal solution to providing increased levels of access and demistifying the process of creating a beer brand.”
