Scott calls for a reaction from his young Scots

-

Scotland Under-20s coach Stevie Scott has drafted in two new faces for tomorrow evening’s clash with their English counterparts at Myreside (kick-off 7.30pm).

Glasgow Hawks winger Rory Mcmichael and Heriot’s blindside flanker Martin Hughes come into the side as they seek an upturn in fortunes in what has been a wretched campaign so far. Heavy defeats against france and Wales were compounded by the revelation that members of the coaching staff had been suspended following an incident in Wales.

Scott hopes to see an improvement tomorrow. “Towards the end of the France game, the boys showed a bit of fight and that’s what we need to do against England,” the coach said. “I’ve said to the boys this week, if there was ever a time to get a reaction, this is the time to do it. At home and against England. We’re playing them at Myreside, which myself and the squad are really looking forward to. I think we’ll have a decent crowd and they’ll be hoping for a reaction too.”
