Sole surviving all girls school may start taking boys
The future of the only allgirl state school in Scotland is set to be discussed.
A consultation will be held by Glasgow City Council on whether Notre Dame High School should start taking male pupils.
There has been a push from parents in Glasgow’s west end for their sons to be allowed to go to Notre Dame.
The school in Glasgow’s Hyndland is Roman Catholic, but a number of girls from Muslim families also attend.
Only girls have been taught at Notre Dame since the school’s inception in 1897.
