A taxing lesson: Finance secretary swaps budget papers for the slopes in first snowboard attempt

Finance secretary Derek Mackay did eventually manage to stay upright on his first snowboard lesson yesterday – but only after several trips to the top of the slope at Snow Factor Braehead saw him in a slightly less dignified position. The company, Scotland’s only indoor winter sports destination, was recently named Digital Business of the Year by the Scottish section of the Federation of Small Businesses.
