Stroll around Puerto Mogan appreciating that it’s the most charming resort town on Gran Canaria. Walk over the wee canals, admire the yachts in the marina and check out the fishing harbour.

Recline at the Marina Pool Bar (+34928 565 010). You can gaze out over the pool towards the fishing boats, working up an appetite over a chilled drink or a coffee.
Midday
Enjoy lunch at the Cofradia (tel: +34928 565 321), where the fruits of the labours of the local fishermen are grilled and fried. Snare a window or terrace seat for views back to town.
2:30pm
Head for a walk on the famous sand dunes of Maspalomas. Stroll along the Atlantic and then circle back.
