The Compass School has recently been awarded two major national awards in recognition of its work with digital technology in learning and teaching, becoming one of Scotland’s first Digital Schools.

As East Lothian’s only independent primary and nursery school, pupils enjoy a comprehensive academic curriculum together with sporting opportunities and a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

The school caters for pupils from the age of four but equally welcomes children at all stages up to the age of 12. With an average class size of 15, children receive individual attention tailored to meet their needs. The school has been awarded “excellent” in every aspect of its provision by the Care Inspectorate, reflecting the quality and standards of care and nurturing its children enjoy.
