The Compass School has recently been awarded two major national awards in recognitio­n of its work with digital technology in learning and teaching, becoming one of Scotland’s first Digital Schools.

As East Lothian’s only independen­t primary and nursery school, pupils enjoy a comprehens­ive academic curriculum together with sporting opportunit­ies and a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

The school caters for pupils from the age of four but equally welcomes children at all stages up to the age of 12. With an average class size of 15, children receive individual attention tailored to meet their needs. The school has been awarded “excellent” in every aspect of its provision by the Care Inspectora­te, reflecting the quality and standards of care and nurturing its children enjoy.

The friendly and caring environmen­t ensures children feel secure and happy while they develop confidence, knowledge, skills and ability.
