Services between Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket faced delays yesterday morning due to streaker trespassing on the rail.

@Lordwoolamaloo tweeted: “Edinburgh-glasgow rail services disrupted by naked person streaking through station and into tunnel. That beats wrong kind of leaves on the line for a reason for disrupted services!”

@gman74000 said: “Naked man has jumped the barriers and ran into one of the tunnels in Waverley, followed by Lothian & Borders finest with dogs. Comedy gold, you could not make this up.”

@lornamusique added: “Either I’m hallucinating or I just saw a very naked man running down the escalator in Waverley.”

Scotland bids to defeat England for the first time in a decade at Murrayfield tonight in the Calcutta Cup.

@willcarling tweeted: “So Calcutta Cup heating up a little. Am sure some spoons will be out today to stir the pot. My only advice, NEVER underestimate Scotland – many won’t remember but we did once (it’s going to be a good one).”

@Sidman69 said: “Scotland have a sniff if they can get around, in behind England’s defence and move that juggernaut pack about. However, England are a good side, marshalled superbly by Farrell and that juggernaut pack, defence and pace out wide will be too good.”

@ambomatt999 said: “Don’t care about the result of #6nations Calcutta cup. All I want is a great game. 1/2 English 1/2 Scottish living in Scotland, family in England.”

@Lewismoody7 added: “I can’t take anything away from Scotland. They have some great raw talent in their side and I reckon it will make for a great Calcutta Cup.”
