Play at Fawlt?

The new John Cleese comedy Hold The Sunset was indeed “superbly launched” by the BBC (The Scotsman, 20 February).

However, having watched the first episode, am I alone in thinking that it wasn’t superbly funny and the former Mr Fawlty may soon be heard uttering “Don’t mention the ratings!”
