#SNOW

Central Scotland received a red alert warning for heavy snow as the worsening weather conditions caused chaos across the county. @Angryscotland joked: “When we’re independent, wind will blow away sadness and snow will be replaced by teacakes.” @govindajeggy asked: “Red snow warning? RED SNOW? What is this GAME OF THRONES?” @Shuttsapalooza recalled: “The greatest-ever snow day was the one where our school bus never showed up and everyone ended up in a snowball fight against the madman in a flat next to the bus stop. He eventually ran out of snow to throw back, so started throwing cutlery and lightbulbs.”

Scotrail announced they were shutting down lines from 6pm onwards while Glasgow and Edinburgh airport grounded flights. @Oldfirmfacts1 tweeted: “Shoutout to Scotrail and First workers standing in absolutely bitter conditions taking abuse about decisions taken by superiors with public safety in mind.” @Seanmclaughlan1 said: “It’s taken me 3 hours and 3 different trains to get to work – which was of my own free volition. And you know what? I’m absolutely fine with that. Scotrail staff were working their backsides off to make sure everyone was safe, secure and informed. Keep safe, lads.” @Humzayousaf wrote: “Looking at live traffic cameras & still seeing far too much traffic on trunk road network. Our advice for last 2 days has been to avoid travel. Can I reiterate, if you travel you’re putting yourself at risk & possibly in danger. Don’t take weather warnings lightly”

#DAVE KING

Rangers chairman Dave King lost his appeal against the Takeover Panel’s verdict and will have to make an offer to every one of the club’s shareholders. @Collectcelticfc wrote: “Dave King has lost his appeal. That will be £11m please.” @johnjh67 tweeted: “No doubt there will be a panel of EBT recipients lining up to tell us why Dave King losing his appeal against the Takeover Panel is a good thing for The Rangers.” @clonejack said: “The obsessed experts are out in force today. Dave King got what he wanted in the end. The offer will be made, very few will take up the offer but dont let facts ruin your day.”
