Hibernian Not fit for purpose
Hibernian’s start to Saturday’s match threatened to overwhelm Killie and, if we had taken one of the chances to go 3-0 up, then the outcome would likely have been a win for Hibs. However, Killie were the better side for most of the game, in particular during a second half in which Hibs struggled to cross the halfway line.
Neil Lennon’s reaction to the ridiculous penalty decision will undoubtedly result in a period of sitting in the stand, but it was perfectly understandable nevertheless. His assertion that the Rugby Park pitch gives an advantage to the home team, and isn’t fit for purpose at this level of football, is also correct, despite the fact we managed to win 3-0 there earlier in the season.
