Motherwell Toleration level

-

The 1-0 win at Dundee had only one positive – the result. The club media team producing barely three minutes of “highlights” says everything about what was produced at Dens Park.

So how much poor football will fans tolerate in the name of a result? Over a single game, everyone would choose result over performance. But over a whole season, the issue is not so clear. We are not going finish high up the league but will certainly not be relegated. Would finishing a little lower, but having actually entertained at times, have been preferable? Manager Stephen Robinson, working to fine margins, has little room for such niceties. He will point out, rightly, that being comfortably mid-table, a cup final and another cup run speaks for itself.
