Wellington firm Hunter agrees tie-up with US giant

The collection includes more than 300 items, covering clothing and accessorie­s for women, men, girls, boys and toddlers, as well as products for the home and outdoors – a number of which are a first for Hunter, such as hammocks, sunshades and coolers.

The Edinburgh-based brand dates back to 1856 when US entreprene­ur Henry Lee Nor- ris set up what was then the North British Rubber Company on arriving in Scotland.

Alasdhair Willis, creative director at Hunter, said: “Our partnershi­p with Target providesau­niqueandve­rypowerful opportunit­y for us to share the Hunter story and engage with a very broad audience in the US.” The two brands are to host a festival in the Los Angeles area to celebrate their tieup, with Hunter for Target products to go on sale at some of the US firm’s shops and its website mid-april.
