Good Samaritans

-

Gordon Kennedy might be thought to take a very cynical view of his fellow shoppers (Letters, 5 March).

As someone who could be described as vulnerable, and certainly elderly, I have been very touched by the concern of neighbours and family to make sure essential supplies reached me over the last few days. Would he have these good Samaritans stopped at the supermarket till and told to empty my bread and milk from their baskets? They cleared the snow from the path too! ALISON BRUCE
