Alloa have double mission against Arbroath

-

Alloa have the chance to pull level with third-placed Arbroath when they host the Red Lichties at the Indodrill Stadium tonight, but home manager Jim Goodwin is also keen to distance his side from the rest of the promotionchasing pack.

Goodwin said: “It is great to have this game on and it would be great to pull level with Arbroath. However, creating a four- point gap on Stranraer in fifth would be very welcome as well.”

On-loan Ross Stewart is expected to return to Alloa’s starting line-up following a knock, while Arbroath manager Dick Campbell has food for thought ahead of kick-off.

The Gayfield men took on League 2 title-chasers Montrose in a practice match at the Oriam, Edinburgh, during the cold snap, and Campbell said: “It was great to get the boys on a park after doing very little training last week, and a number of them put themselves in the frame to face Alloa.”
