New driving guide trial launched

New guides are being trialled in Edinburgh as part of an effort to reduce the number of young motorists involved in fatal crashes.

The free booklets – Getting your licence and keeping it... everything you need to know – will be distributed to driving test centres within the local authority’s area.

Each will contain information on the most common dangers facing new drivers, with an average of 168 road users aged 17 to 24 killed or seriously injured on UK roads each month.
