USP Place of peace

-

Lagnagiogan is a charming former croft house which offers something of an escape from the rat race.

Set in a peaceful and scenic rural location near the centre of the isle of Iona, it is close to the village and Iona Abbey.

The island supports a lively and thriving resident community and attracts thousands of tourists every year, following in the footsteps of St Columba and drawn by the tranquillity, wildlife, the beauty of the landscape and the secluded, sandy beaches.

With the number of vehicles on the island restricted, and no crime to speak of, it is a very safe environment.

It is remote, but only it you view it in proximity to major cities.

The ferry service from Iona to Fionnphort on neighbouring Mull takes ten minutes, so there are opportunities for days out in what you could call the big smoke, relatively speaking.

From Mull the ferry to Oban takes 45 minutes or there is an airstrip suitable for private aircraft.

Iona itself has a general store as well as library, primary school, village hall and two hotels.

Lagnagiogan has a sitting room, dining room, kitchen and two bedrooms upstairs, plus a conservatory.

It needs some modernisation but it offers an idyllic lifestyle for those prepared to put the work in.
