Range Rover pulls wraps off £240,000 two-door SV Coupe

-

Range Rover has revealed details of an exclusive new two-door model at the Geneva Motor Show. The Range Rover SV Coupe will be a limited-run car aimed at Range Rover’s most demanding customers. Featuring a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 and bespoke four-seat interior, the £240,000 SV Coupe is the latest vehicle to come out of Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations. The 557bhp V8 makes it the fastest Range Rover yet, with a 0-60mph time of five seconds and a top speed of 165mph. The ride height and suspension has been tuned to make the SV Coupe more road-focused than standard Range Rovers but it still comes equipped with the full Terrain Response 2 system and adjustable air suspension to maintain extreme off-road abilities. Range Rover says the SV Coupe will bring new levels of luxury to its interiors, with a standard comparable to private jets and yachts. Given its target market, that’s probably just as well. It will also be the most customisable Range Rover with buyers able to personalise interior and exterior features to their heart’s content. Buyers will be able to choose from more than 100 standard and specialist paints or Range Rover will match any colour they like. There will be a choice of four duo-tone front and rear leather colours with a bespoke quilt pattern; three wood veneers; contrast stitching; headrest embroidery; door handle and treadplate engraving and semi-precious metal badging along with alloy wheels ranging from 21 to 23 inches. Only 999 SV Coupes will be built. Each will be hand assembled at the SVO Technical Centre with prices starting at £240,000 and the first models expected to be on sale later this year.
