Lawyer in court over murder charge

A lawyer has appeared in court charged with murdering a 51-year-old man.

Joanne Threshie, 35, is accused of killing Frederick Mcgettigan on 6 August, 2017. She appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday where she made no plea.

Prosecutors say Threshie, from Bishopbriggs, acting with another, repeatedly struck Mr Mcgettigan with a knife or something similar. Mr Mcgettigan was found dead in the Clelland Avenue flat near Bishopbriggs on 9 August.

Threshie was granted bail and is expected to return to court at a later date.
