Special airdrop delivers building materials to Urquhart Castle
Construction materials are airlifted by helicopter to Urquhart Castle on the banks of Loch Ness as part of a £300,000 upgrade of facilities. The materials will be used as part of a Historic Environment Scotland conservation project to re-lay paths throughout the grounds of the castle. Work is also under way on the installation of a new stairway to improve access to the viewing platform in the Grant Tower.
