Letters unstuck
What on earth is happening with Royal Mail?
I sent a card to my daughter, over two weeks ago: it still hasn’t arrived, and I’m guessing it never will. A few years ago this would be unheard of; the PO prided itself on getting mail to the right addresses 99.9 per cent of the time. Also, since I paid for a stamp, I believe the PO failure to deliver the card is technically fraud.
I’m now wondering if this is a widespread problem that should have the public asking for and getting answers to what is going wrong. Since the sell-off by the Tories collections have been reduced, deliveries in certain areas are no longer so regular and misdelivery is becoming common.
From discussions with friends, colleagues and neighbours, I think most people would be happy if Labour brought the Royal Mail back into public ownership.
